Head-On Crash in Gamston Sends Three to Hospital
A nasty head-on collision rocked Gamston’s Lings Bar Road at around 6.30pm on Saturday, 18 February.
Two cars slammed into each other, leaving occupants shaken and injured.
Minor Injuries for Land Rover Passengers
- The crew inside a Land Rover were rushed to hospital with minor injuries.
Ford Fiesta Driver Arrested After Serious Injury
- The 28-year-old Ford Fiesta driver suffered potentially life-altering injuries and was also hospitalised.
- He has since been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Nottinghamshire Police urgently want anyone who saw the smash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
“This was an incredibly dangerous incident that thankfully didn’t result in anyone losing their life,” PC Phil Broughton from the Roads Policing Unit said.
“We’re committed to getting to the bottom of what happened here, so would plead with anyone who has any information about this, however small it may seem, to contact the police.”
“This includes any dash-cam or CCTV footage taken in the area at around 6.30pm last Saturday, as this could really assist us with our inquiries.”
