The Met Police murder squad launched a probe this morning after a man was savagely stabbed near his doorstep in Dagenham. The victim collapsed outside a property on Parsloes Avenue just before midnight, and despite desperate efforts by police and paramedics, he later died at the scene.

One shaken local revealed the man was chased by a trio of attackers armed with machetes and large knives, described as a “pack of wolves,” coming from nearby Heathway station. The gang fled the scene moments after the brutal assault.
