Woman Walks Away After Man Grops Her on University Path

A woman was groped by a man while walking along the Eliot footpath near the University of Kent on Monday morning.

Incident Details

The victim was walking between Lyndhurst Road and the university just after 11am on 14 June 2021 when a stranger passed her and touched her inappropriately over her clothing. Thankfully, she walked away with no further interaction and no injuries were reported.

Suspect Description

  • Age: 25-30 years old
  • Height: Over six feet tall
  • Build: Slim
  • Ethnicity: Black
  • Hair: Short black hair
  • Clothing: Dark long-sleeved top and dark trousers
  • Wearing a white face mask

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers from 1 are investigating the case and urge anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the man nearby to get in touch immediately.
