Thieves Caught Prodding About Private Drives in Kent
Kent Police were alerted just after 1.30am on Friday, 20 May 2022, to suspicious activity in Sycamore Drive, Orchard Avenue, and Rowan Close. Three suspects were spotted strolling up private driveways – clearly up to no good.
Car Stolen After Keys Pinched from Victim’s Home
In one brazen incident, thieves stole a Kia Niro after snatching the keys from inside a house. A wallet was also reportedly taken but later found dumped outside the property.
Police Warn Residents: Lock Up, Stay Vigilant
“We suspect these men were targeting cars by stealing keys from inside homes,” said Inspector Lizzie Jones of the Tonbridge and Malling Community Safety Unit. “We’ve upped patrols at night, but please secure your doors and windows. If you think a crime is happening, call 999 immediately.”
