Teen Caught Carrying Deadly Knife/Hammer Combo in Newham
On Wednesday evening, Met Police detectives swooped on a 17-year-old boy in Newham, stopping him at Hoe Road around 6pm. A search revealed he was armed with a dangerous combined knife and hammer weapon.
The youth was promptly arrested on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon in public and taken to an east London police station, where he remains in custody.
Police on High Alert With Covert Patrols
Inspector Peter Moxham of the Violent Crime Taskforce spoke out about their tactics: “We carry out both highly visible and plain-clothed patrols, sometimes in marked or unmarked cars. We might go unnoticed, but rest assured – we’re always on the beat.”
The police message is clear: even if you don’t see them, they’re watching to keep streets safe.
