Blaze Breaks Out in Woolwich, Hare Street Shut
Six fire crews and a HazMat officer raced to tackle a fierce blaze at the First Choice cafe on Hare Street, Woolwich, late Saturday night.
Firefighters were scrambled just before midnight. Hare Street is now closed both ways as crews battle the flames. Drivers are urged to take alternative routes.
Second Fire at Turkish Restaurant Sparks Concern
Meanwhile, Woolwich High Street faces its own emergency. The London Fire Brigade is reportedly handling a second fire involving four pumps at a Turkish restaurant.
It’s not yet clear if the two fires are linked. Both the Met Police and LFB have been contacted for comment.
