Teen Stabbed in Shocking Primark Attack

A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest right in front of horrified shoppers inside Nottingham city centre’s Primark on Sunday morning. Police slammed it as an “appalling act of violence.”

Chaos Erupts at Busy Retail Store

The brutal attack happened around 11:30am on Long Row. Shoppers watched in disbelief as the victim was knifed inside the bustling shop. Emergency services raced to the scene and rushed the teen to hospital. His injuries are serious but not life-threatening.

Teen Suspect Caught After Dramatic Chase

Police arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. Officers said the suspect fled towards Market Square but was quickly caught. Detective Inspector Paul Shortt said: “This was an appalling act of violence carried out in full view of members of the public. A team of detectives is now working to understand exactly what happened before, during, and after this attack.”

Fight Outside Sparks Violent Stabbing Inside

Early findings suggest a scuffle broke out between a group of youths outside Primark before the stabbing inside. Police sealed off the scene, with forensic teams combing the store. Primark has shut its Nottingham branch and pledged full support to police. A spokesperson said: “Our thoughts are with the victim, and we are focused on supporting our colleagues who were in store at the time.”

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward. DI Shortt stressed: “No matter how significant you think your information may be, we want to hear from you without delay.”
