Tragic Crash on A339 Claims Life of Beloved Biker
A fatal smash involving a white Fiat Doblo van and a white Harley Davidson motorbike has left a family devastated.
Police rushed to the scene at 2:53pm near the A339 junction with Hackwood Lane. The biker, Daniel Downey, 58, from Woodpecker Close, Bordon, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Max” Taken Too Soon
Daniel, affectionately known as Max, was riding his cherished Harley when tragedy struck. His family released a heartfelt tribute:
“Max was taken unexpectedly and tragically whilst riding his beloved Harley Davidson. Max leaves behind his long term partner Mary and his sons who are devastated and heartbroken. Life just won’t be the same without him.”
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
The cause of the collision is under investigation. Officers are keen to speak with anyone who saw what happened or has dash cam footage of the vehicles involved before the crash.
