Huge Cannabis Haul and Drugs Bust Rocks Salisbury Suburb
A man has been slapped in cuffs after cops raided a house in Harnham and uncovered around 50 cannabis plants.
Border Force Sniffs Out Suspicious Package
Police from the Salisbury Area Community Policing Team swooped on a Folkestone Road property at 9.30am on 26 September. The raid came after UK Border Force intercepted a parcel containing suspected drugs addressed to the house.
Massive Grow Operation Discovered
During a detailed search, officers found a sprawling cannabis cultivation in the garden. A 1 unit also searched inside the home and uncovered more illegal substances.
Man Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges
The 56-year-old suspect now faces several charges, including improper importation of goods, possession of Class A and Class B drugs, and production of Class B drugs. He remains in custody at Melksham Police Station.
Sergeant Keith Jackson said: “This morning’s raid was triggered by intelligence from the UK Border Agency about a suspicious parcel. We work closely with other agencies to tackle the production and sale of illegal drugs that severely harm our communities.”
“Drugs, whether Class A or B, are often tied to violence and anti-social behaviour. We want the public to know we will act swiftly against offenders.”
