Police swooped on a suspected ‘chop shop’ in Manchester on Friday morning, October 18, arresting three men aged 27, 32, and 49. Officers found suspected stolen vehicle parts hidden inside a garage on Bromley Street.
Specialist Teams Crack Down on Vehicle Crime
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) vehicle examination experts teamed up with neighbourhood officers to execute the search warrant. Early searches uncovered a stash of parts believed to be from stolen vehicles. Forensic analysis of the recovered items is ongoing.
Inspector Condemns ‘Vile’ Crime
“Stealing someone’s hard-earned property and selling it on is vile; quite simply profiting off someone’s misery,” said Inspector Dan Pickavance from GMP’s Manchester neighbourhood team. “If we get reports or intelligence of such criminality, you can expect us to act.”
“This morning’s warrant shows our commitment to tackle vehicle crime and related offences. We won’t tolerate this sort of criminality. Suspect premises can expect a visit from us.”
