Man Dies in Horror M25 Crash as Two Held for Dangerous Driving
Specialist cops are probing after a deadly smash on the M25 left one man dead.
Three-Car Collision Sparks Tragedy
Emergency services were called just after 10.45pm on New Year’s Day following reports of a three-vehicle collision on the westbound M25 between junctions 26 and 25. Despite frantic efforts, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The London Fire Brigade also rushed to the scene where one of the cars was ablaze after veering off the road.
M25 Stretch Still Shut – Drivers Urged to Avoid
The section between junction 26 and 25 remains closed on Sunday, 2 January, with police advising motorists to find alternative routes.
Two Men Arrested for Causing Death by Dangerous Driving
Two males were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and are now in police custody.
The Met’s Serious Collisions Investigation Unit (SCIU) is leading the inquiry. Detective Sergeant Mark Palmer said:
“A young man has sadly died and it is important that his family and friends know what happened to him. I would ask anyone who was using this stretch of road to check their dashcam footage for any recordings of this incident. Likewise any witnesses should get in touch with us immediately.”
