Two Men Arrested After Shocking Rape of 19-Year-Old in Brighton
Horrific Attack in Brighton City Centre
Two men have been arrested following the brutal rape of a 19-year-old man in Brighton in the early hours of Saturday, December 21. The victim was approached by two unknown men near Harry Ramsden’s on Old Steine at around 3:30am. He was then attacked just moments later in nearby Steine Lane.
Victim Escapes, Police Step In
The victim managed to get help from a passer-by, who immediately called the police. He is now receiving support from specialist officers while detectives launch a full investigation into the shocking assault.
Suspects Nabbed Across the South East
On Thursday, December 26, police swooped to arrest two suspects linked to the rape. A 40-year-old man from Redhill, Surrey was arrested in Esher, Surrey. Meanwhile, a 42-year-old man from Chessington, Kingston-Upon-Thames was caught in Ramsgate, Kent. Both men remain in police custody, held on suspicion of rape.
