High-Speed Chase Ends with Suspects Busted in Sussex
On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, officers from the Roads Policing Unit in Edenbridge were on high alert following a spate of local thefts. When a vehicle refused to stop, a nail-biting chase ensued through Edenbridge and into East Sussex.
Driver Flees Into Woods After Police Pursuit
The stolen vehicle finally screeched to a halt, but not before both occupants bolted into nearby woods. Thanks to the quick response of the National Police Air Service and Sussex Police, both suspects were soon caught after a thorough search of the area.
Two London Men Arrested Over Stolen Car and Dangerous Driving
- A 24-year-old man from London faces multiple charges including stealing a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without a licence or insurance, and driving under the influence.
- A 45-year-old London man was also arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft.
Both men remain in custody as police investigations continue.
