Chaos as Ten Cars Torched Across Town in Midnight Spree

Just after midnight on Monday, March 14, police were alerted by Kent Fire and Rescue Service about a suspicious car fire on Newcastle Hill. But that was only the beginning.

Series of Blazes Hits Multiple Streets

Shortly after, fires broke out on Finsbury Road, Broad Street, Anns Road, Church Road, and Denmark Hill. Among the damaged vehicles was an occupied campervan — thankfully, no one was hurt. In total, ten vehicles were destroyed or damaged in the spree.

Two Men Arrested in Connection with Arson Attacks

Kent Police swooped on the scene, using CCTV footage to track down and arrest two men from Ramsgate. A 20-year-old faces charges of arson and assault. His 19-year-old accomplice has been arrested on suspicion of arson and cannabis possession.
