The West Midlands Ambulance Service sprang into action at 2.36pm today after frantic 999 calls reported a stabbing on Birmingham’s busy Corporation Street. The scene was swarmed by emergency crews, including two ambulances, three paramedic officers, and specialist HART paramedics.
Air Ambulance and Critical Care Teams Join the Fray
The Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford touched down with a doctor and paramedic on board, alongside a critical care paramedic and a West Midlands CARE team doctor, ready to tackle the crisis on the ground.
Serious Injuries to Two Teenage Boys
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived on scene to find a teenage boy who had sustained serious injuries. A second teenage boy was located nearby with serious injuries.”
Paramedics worked frantically to provide trauma care and stabilise the teens before rushing both to hospital on blue lights for emergency treatment.
