Two 13-Year-Olds Held Over Shocking Attack on Teen in Rubery

Police have arrested two 13-year-old boys following a brutal assault on another 13-year-old in Cock Hill Lane, Rubery. The attack unfolded at around 4pm on Monday, 3 March, when a gang of youths targeted the victim in a savage assault captured on social media.

Link to Another Violent Incident Under Scrutiny

Officers are examining footage from the attack and believe it could be connected to a similar violent incident at Hollywood Bowl, Rubery, the previous Sunday at 4:30pm. That case remains under active investigation.

Police Clampdown and Community Patrols

The two boys face charges of wounding with intent. Police are hunting for others involved and have teamed up with local schools to track down suspects. Meanwhile, high-visibility patrols have been ramped up in the area to reassure residents and deter further violence.

Detective Pleads for Calm and Cooperation

Detective Sergeant Shereen Ballintine, Birmingham CID, said:

“This was an appalling attack on a young boy, recorded and spread on social media.

“We urge everyone to think of the victim’s family and stop sharing the footage as we work to arrest all involved.

“Some have taken matters into their own hands with threats or retaliation. This won’t be tolerated – anyone involved will also face arrest.”

The victim was taken to hospital but has now been discharged.

Police Seek Public Help

Authorities are appealing for anyone with information on either assault to come forward immediately.
