Shocking Bus Attack in Harrow: Police Hunt Elderly Suspect
Police are urgently asking the public for help to identify a man linked to a nasty assault on a Harrow bus. The disturbing incident happened on Saturday, 25 January at 3pm aboard a Route 114 bus on Kenton Road.
Chubby Man, Stick and Trolley: What We Know
The suspect, described as an Asian man in his 60s or 70s, about 5ft 8in tall with a chubby build, boarded the bus carrying a stick and dragging a shopping trolley. He violently assaulted, spat at, and racially abused a 65-year-old female passenger.
Thankfully, the victim escaped lasting physical harm but was left deeply shocked and distressed by the cowardly attack.
Police Plea: Recognise This Man? Speak Up
Detective Constable Stuart Giddings of the Roads and Transport Policing Command said: “This was a truly shocking and spontaneous attack on a woman who was sitting on the bus minding her own business. This type of behaviour cannot go unchecked and I would ask people to look at the image and see if they recognise this man then do the right thing and contact police.”
