Woman Harassed in Broad Daylight on Tonbridge Road
A woman was left shaken after a man persistently tried to engage her in unwanted conversation near Bower Terrace, Tonbridge Road. The stranger repeatedly questioned her about where she was heading and where she lived.
Thankfully, a passerby stepped in and escorted her to safety.
Police Hunting Large-Built Man in Black Hoodie
The disturbing incident unfolded at around 9:15am on 17 October 2022. Officers are now keen to speak to anyone who was nearby or saw anything suspicious. They also want to hear from anyone else who might have faced similar harassment.
The suspect is described as:
- Black male
- In his 30s
- Large build
- Around 5ft 3ins tall
- Wearing a black hooded top
Investigation Underway
PC Josiah Taylor said: “We have been reviewing CCTV and believe other people may have been approached and subjected to unwanted attention. While no crime may have been committed, his actions have caused significant distress. It’s vital we identify and speak to him.”
