Police have sealed off Lordship Lane in South East London following a brutal stabbing that has left a woman fighting for her life.
Emergency Rush to Scene After Late-Night Fight
The Met Police and London Ambulance Service were called at around 10.45pm on Friday after reports of a violent altercation at a residential property near the Barry Road junction.
A 36-year-old woman was found with serious stab wounds and rushed to hospital. She remains in a life-threatening condition.
Suspect Arrested as Police Investigate
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody at a south London police station.
“Officers attended the scene promptly,” a Met Police spokesperson confirmed. “A crime scene is in place, and enquiries continue.”
Transport Chaos on Lordship Lane
- Road closed in both directions at Barry Road junction
- Bus routes 12, 40, 176, 185, and 197 affected
- Route 12 now running only as far as Peckham Rye and East Dulwich
- Other routes have been diverted or revised
