Police Seek Man After House Raid In Southampton

The burglary happened at around 5.40am on June 27 as an address in Tennyson Road, Southampton. A man was caught inside the property stealing a laptop from one of the upstairs bedroom. The three female students who live at the address chased the man out of the property, however he was able to steal a Fossil watch, an iPhone and student IDs. A laptop was also stolen but was recovered a short time later further up the road. The suspect is described as being in his 20s and he was wearing dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and top. He was also wearing a black hat. Police staff investigator Elaine Rogers said: “Do you recognise the man in the image? If so, we would like to hear from you. “We would also like to speak to a man who was in the area at the time and was spoken to by one of the students as she was out looking for the suspect in her car. “He may have information that may help with our investigation. He is described as being white, of a skinny build, bald and was wearing a dark jacket. He was also carrying a black rucksack. “We would also like to hear from anyone else who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time of the burglary. “We are reminding people to ensure their homes are secured at all times during the day or night and to close all windows on the ground floor.” Anyone with information is asked to call PSI Rogers on 101, quoting 44160238667, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
