Barking Blaze that ripped through six floors started by a Barbecue

A major fire that engulfed a multi-dwelling structure in Barking this afternoon may have been caused by a barbecue being used we can reveal. https:///youtu.be/mk6_gvLsXxA 15 fire appliances were called to tackle the blaze on De Pass Gardens on the Barking Riverside on Sunday afternoon. The fires have ripped through a number of flats within the block and left many homeless. Flames can be seen travelling through on the outside of the block spreading to neighbouring property. One resident who asked not to named made claim that moments before a resident was using a BBQ in one of the properties. 100 firefighters were sent to tackle the blaze that now being probed by specialists fire investigators. A spokesman  for London Fire Brigade said : Fifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters have been called to a fire at a block of flats on De Pass Gardens in Barking. The ground floor to the sixth floor of the block are currently alight. The Brigade was called at 3.31pm and is still at the scene. Fire crews from Barking, Dagenham, East Ham and surrounding fire stations are attending the incident. The cause of the fire is not known at this stage. Metropolitan Police spokesperson said that there had been no injuries reported. The force is assisting London Fire Brigade with closures to roads around the area.
