Police probe Sick Street Robbery on Pensioner in Southampton

Police  are investigating after a 78-year-old man was assaulted and had his wallet stolen on Nichols Road in the Town Quay area of Southampton in the early hours of this morning (Monday, August 1) at around 12.30am. A man approached the elderly man, grabbed and pushed him, and then took his wallet. The man then reportedly ran off towards Brintons Road.

The wallet was black, contained £150 cash, a Natwest bank card, bus pass, rail card, Vodafone top-up card, Argos card and Nector card. Luckily, the 78-year-old man did not sustain any lasting injuries. Unfortunately Police don’t have a description at this time, but did you see anything or anyone suspicious?
