Operation Falcon Hits Hard Against Money Laundering
This bust is part of Operation Falcon, a tough crackdown by GMP’s Serious and Organised Crime Group and Specialist Operations, aiming to smash cash-based money laundering across the region. Since it launched, Operation Falcon has seized more than £3 million in dirty money.
Detective Superintendent Joseph Harrop said: “This latest seizure demonstrates the effectiveness of Operation Falcon and the dedication of officers working proactively to protect our communities. “Since the operation began, we have seized more than £3m across Greater Manchester, and we will continue to target those suspected of being involved, ensuring that criminal profits are taken out of circulation and reinvested back into our communities.”
