“The family have had a lucky escape. I’ve been to plenty of building collapses in my 22-year career, but I’ve never seen a roof slide off a home,” said Station Commander John Baldwin.
Firefighters Act Fast to Secure Scene
Three fire engines and specialist units from Harrow, Northolt, and Heston rushed to the scene after a call came in at 6.50pm. The emergency was wrapped up by 7.33pm.
Brave firefighters made the property safe and even managed to salvage some of the family’s personal belongings.
