Tragic Death on A38: Man in His 40s Dies in Single-Car Crash at Glynn Valley
A man in his 40s has died in a devastating single-vehicle crash on the A38 at Glynn Valley, near Doublebois, Cornwall. The silver Ford C-MAX estate left the road early Sunday morning, ending in fatal injuries for the driver.
Fatal Crash Shuts Down A38 for 12 Hours
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 5:05am on 22 June. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The A38 was closed for roughly 12 hours while police forensic teams examined the crash site.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed specialist collision investigators were called in. Authorities say no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Officers are urging anyone who saw the vehicle prior to the crash, or captured dashcam footage from the area around the time, to come forward.
“We are investigating the cause of this collision and are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the vehicle before the crash, or who may have relevant dashcam footage from the area around the time,” a police spokesperson said.
