BBC Legend Alan Yentob Dies Aged 78
Alan Yentob, the iconic BBC creative director, has passed away at 78, his family confirmed. He died on Saturday, 24 May 2025, leaving behind a monumental legacy in British broadcasting that spans over five decades.

Yentob started at the BBC in 1968 as a trainee and quickly climbed the ranks to hold some of the broadcaster’s most senior roles:

- Head of Music and Arts

Known for his bold vision, Yentob commissioned landmark shows and initiatives that changed TV forever, including:
