Body Found in Strood During Search for Missing Man

Kent Police have confirmed the chilling discovery of a body near Knight Road, Strood, on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services were scrambled at 11:08am on 22 October after reports of a body found during a search operation. Officers from Kent Police were joined by South East Coast Ambulance Service, Kent Fire and Rescue, and H.M. Coastguard at the scene.

Family Notified as Formal ID Pending

While formal identification is still awaited, authorities have informed the family of a 25-year-old man who had been reported missing since Friday, 18 October.

At this stage, police do not believe the death is suspicious and are preparing a report for the coroner. Investigation is ongoing, with no signs of foul play detected so far.

Police Stress No Suspicious Circumstances

Kent Police emphasised that the death is not being treated as suspicious. The search had been part of efforts to locate the missing man, bringing a tragic end to the case.
