Military Road Shut After Motorcycle Smash Near Isle of Wight Pearl
Military Road on the Isle of Wight is closed in both directions following a serious crash involving four vehicles, including two motorcycles. The pile-up happened near Isle of Wight Pearl this Friday just after 12:15pm.
Four-Vehicle Collision Sparks Emergency Response
Emergency services raced to the scene after reports of a collision between a Ford, a Renault, and two motorcycles on Military Road near Brighstone and Brook Beach. Police from the Joint Armed Response and Road Policing units launched an immediate investigation.
Two Injured, One Seriously
Paramedics from Isle of Wight Ambulance treated two people at the crash site. Both have been rushed to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport. One victim is in serious condition, while the other suffered minor injuries.
Witnesses Report Reckless Riding
“The motorcyclist was racing around, overtaking on blind bends,” said an eyewitness. Police confirmed they are probing these claims as part of their ongoing investigation.
Military Road remains closed as emergency crews work to clear the scene and piece together what happened. Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
