Flight Chaos as Rowdy Group Forces EasyJet Take-Off Abort
An EasyJet flight from Bristol to Malaga was plunged into turmoil when a gang of around 30 unruly passengers sparked a major disruption. The pilot had no choice but to abort take-off and return to the terminal.
Youthful Troublemakers Refuse to Sit, Demand Toilet Access
The drama unfolded just as the plane was taxiing to the runway. The troublemakers, mainly young men, refused to stay seated and insisted on using the toilets during take-off – a strict no-no. The pilot hit the brakes, engines cut, and the flight came to a sudden halt.
Passengers reported heated arguments with cabin crew, with one saying some threatened to urinate on the floor if denied access.
Passengers Cheer as Disruptive Group Removed by Police
The plane sat grounded for over an hour while police escorted seven offending passengers back to the terminal after they retrieved their belongings. Fellow travellers, many elderly and disabled, breathed a sigh of relief and even cheered once order was restored.
“The flight was delayed by an hour in the departure lounge – clearly just gave these lads more drinking time,” said one passenger, Sweeden. “Suddenly they were all standing up, arguing with the flight attendants.”
EasyJet Takes a Hard Line on Abusive Behaviour
EasyJet condemned the behaviour, saying they “take such behaviour very seriously” and won’t tolerate abuse or threats on board. The airline confirmed seven were removed for disrupting the flight.
They assured passengers their safety and comfort is a top priority and promised strict action against troublemakers.
