Water Cut Hits Thousands in West Sussex Today

Southern Water has warned that around 1,500 homes in West Sussex face water interruptions from 4pm this Sunday, July 15. The outage affects postcode areas GU8, GU27, GU28, GU29, PO18, and RH14 due to a technical fault at the Vinings Water Treatment Works.

Emergency Water Stations and Deliveries Rolling Out

Southern Water sprung into action, activating emergency plans to ease the pain. Bottled water stations will be manned and publicised across social media and local news. Tankers are delivering extra water to reduce the blackout impact.

They’re also organising direct bottled water deliveries for vulnerable customers within the affected zones.

Southern Water Apologises for the Inconvenience

“We know how inconvenient it is to be without water, particularly in this extremely hot weather,” said a Southern Water spokesperson. “We apologise to our customers and thank them for their patience and understanding while we work hard to fix the problem and restore supplies.”
