Commuters travelling on the London Overground between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace or West Croydon faced significant disruption on April 25 following signalling issues in south east London. The problem, first reported at 2.40pm, caused cancelled services and delays up to 20 minutes, with disruption expected until around 6pm, Transport for London (TfL) confirmed.

Signalling Fault Hits Latest

The technical fault affecting the signalling system restricted the number of trains able to run on the southbound lines through New Cross Gate station. Passengers travelling between Highbury & Islington and south London destinations, including Crystal Palace and West Croydon, experienced delays and cancellations.

Revised Timetables Latest

Passengers were warned about revised timetables and delays of up to 20 minutes. Southern Rail services were not affected by the issue, allowing alternative travel options in some cases.
