Isle of Wight Festival shakes up council services this June! From Friday 22 June to Sunday 24 June, key council offices are shifting gears as the festival takes over. Here’s what you need to know.

Register Office on the Move

The Isle of Wight Council’s Register Office Marriage Room is relocating to County Hall, Newport, for the festival. All civil ceremonies from 22 to 23 June will be held at County Hall on High Street.

Don’t worry—ceremonies will bounce back to Seaclose Park from Monday 25 June onwards.

Birth, death, and marriage notice appointments remain at Seaclose throughout, but note the Seaclose offices will shut early at 12 noon on 21 June and stay closed all day on 22 June.

The crematorium will operate as usual over festival weekend from 10am to 2pm on both 23 and 24 June.

Planning & ICT Offices and Parking Warnings

If you can, avoid popping in unless you have a pre-arranged meeting.

The office fully reopens from 8.30am on Tuesday 26 June. Meanwhile, get online at the council’s planning website for many services.
