Two dogs were shockingly abandoned and tied to a tree this afternoon on Dark Lane, Wolverhampton—just yards from Birmingham Dogs Home’s Wolverhampton Centre.
Dogs Found In Heartbreaking Condition
Staff at the centre described the scene as “heartbreaking.” Both dogs were severely underweight, covered in large patches of missing fur, suffering from hives, and showing clear signs of neglect. The poor pooches were also nervous and reactive, likely terrorised by their ordeal.
Birmingham Dogs Home Pleads For Help
“These poor dogs were left in a truly awful state. No animal deserves to be treated like this. We’re urging anyone who recognises them or knows someone who recently had two dogs matching their description to come forward,” said a spokesperson.
The rescue centre is desperate to find those responsible and is calling on the public to help identify the dogs or provide any information about their abandonment.
“Someone must recognise these dogs or know someone who suddenly no longer has their pets,” the spokesperson added.
Urgent Care Underway
The dogs are now receiving urgent medical care and rehabilitation. Staff are working hard to rebuild their trust and offer the comfort they so badly need.
