Eltham Road Shut After Crash Involving Police Car
Eltham Road is blocked both ways following a collision with a marked police vehicle. The smash happened between Yorkshire Grey roundabout and Sidcup Road at around 6.30pm on October 17, 2024.
Firefighters Rescue Trapped Driver
London Fire Brigade were rushed to the scene to free a person trapped in one of the cars. Emergency services including the Met Police and London Ambulance Service are also on site. The trapped individual’s condition remains unknown.
Major Road Closure Causes Traffic Chaos
The road closure is expected to last for hours while investigators work to clear the scene. Bus routes 122, 321, and B16 have been rerouted due to the block.
A Met spokesperson confirmed that London’s Air Ambulance, the charity handling London’s critical patients, is supporting the emergency response. No details on injuries have yet been released.
