Person Hit by Train at Balham Station Sparks Major Emergency Response
Emergency services scrambled to Balham train station this afternoon after reports of a person caught under a train shocked commuters. The London Ambulance Service was called at 1:13 pm and rushed multiple teams to the scene.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called today at 1:13 pm to Balham station after reports of a person under a train. We dispatched ambulance crews, a paramedic in a response car, hazardous area response team members, and an incident response officer.”
In addition to ground units, London’s air ambulance was sent to provide critical medical assistance. The injured person received emergency treatment on site before being rushed to a major trauma centre in London.
