A mum found herself in a right pickle this afternoon after getting stuck in a child’s swing on Western Shore, Southampton. She slid in but couldn’t wriggle free alone.
Fire Crew Use Quick Think to Set Her Free
One fire engine from Hampshire Fire and Rescue, based at Hightown, sent five firefighters to the scene. They cleverly employed step-up blocks—usually for stabilising vehicles after crashes—to rescue the trapped mum.
Grateful Mum Thanks Her Rescuers
The red-faced woman expressed her thanks to the fire crew for their quick and creative help. A swing rescue you don’t see every day!
