Chaos at Croydon’s Five Ways After Two-Car Smash
Emergency crews rushed to Five Ways junction just off Purley Way in Croydon after a nasty crash between a Peugeot and a Mercedes around 9pm on Monday, 6th November.
Firefighters Rescue Trapped Victims
The London Fire Brigade, ambulance teams, and Metropolitan Police from Croydon arrived swiftly. Firefighters had to free several people trapped inside the vehicles. The injured were treated on the scene by paramedics.
Road Closure Causes Major Delays
Five Ways remains shut as crews carry out a full clean-up, clearing oil and debris from the road. Drivers are urged to seek alternative routes while the investigation and surface restoration continue.
Police Seek Witnesses to Crash
Officers are appealing to anyone who saw the collision to get in touch on 101. Meanwhile, police are also handling a separate eight-vehicle pileup on Gravel Hill that happened earlier that evening. More updates to follow.
