Tragedy on Thames Way: Man Dies After Running Into Traffic

Bryan Warrington, 36, from England, tragically died at Valley Hospital on September 12. He had been rushed there from North Kent Police station following a shocking incident on Thames Way.

Chaos on Thames Way

Police were called just after 1pm when Bryan Warrington was spotted running into traffic and smashing a car window. Officers arrived swiftly, handcuffed him, and secured him with leg restraints before placing him into a police van.

Sudden Health Collapse

Shortly after being taken into custody, Warrington’s condition suddenly deteriorated. Officers rushed him back to the van and sped to hospital. Despite intensive CPR by police and medical staff, he was pronounced dead at around 2.35pm.

Investigation Launched

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has opened an investigation into the events and Kent Police’s response. They have collected hospital CCTV and officers’ bodycam footage. All officers involved are being treated as witnesses.
