Isle of Wight Distillery Unveils Stunning New Mermaid Gin Bottle – Plastic-Free and Ready to Refill!

The Isle of Wight Distillery has launched its eye-catching new Mermaid Gin bottle after a year-long redesign led by founders Xavier Baker and Conrad Gauntlett. The sculpted bottle isn’t just a beauty – it’s 100% plastic-free and made entirely from sustainable, recyclable materials.

Eco-Friendly Design Makes a Splash

Baker and Gauntlett pushed the boat out to create a bottle that’s not only striking with bold colours and a unique shape but also kind to the environment. The bottle is designed to be repurposed, reducing waste and boosting sustainability.

Even better, the Distillery will soon roll out a refill scheme, letting Island customers top up their bottles on site. This move promises to save money and cut down on plastic – a win-win for fans and the planet alike.

Island Pride and Passion Behind the Project

Co-director Conrad Gauntlett said, “We want to thank the Islanders and Island businesses for their amazing support over the years. The response to our spirits, especially Mermaid 1, has been overwhelming, and we hope people love this new bottle as much as we do.”

Xavier Baker added, “We worked hard to create a bespoke Mermaid bottle that captures the sea, mermaids, and our marine environment – all while keeping sustainability front and centre. It’s an exciting time as Mermaid Gin gains fame on the mainland and abroad.”

Same Iconic Gin, New Incredible Bottle

Despite the snazzy new bottle design, Mermaid Gin’s flavour remains unchanged. The small-batch distillery crafts the gin in-house, using ten ethically sourced botanicals including rock samphire from Island cliffs, Boadicea hops from Ventnor Botanic Garden, and local elderflower.

Note: Other Isle of Wight Distillery favourites like Mermaid Vodka, HMS Victory Rum, and HMS Victory Gin will keep their original Nocturne bottles for now.

The new Mermaid Gin bottle is now available to buy at isleofwightdistillery.com. Get ready to sip sustainably in style!
