Overheating Pot Sparks Panic
Firefighters rushed to tackle smoke billowing from a tunnel last night. Station Commander Keith McDermott revealed the cause: “It was overheating in an insulating pot.”

The Fire Department was alerted at 11:11pm, wrapping up the operation by 1:30am. Fire teams from Dowgate, Lambeth, Old Kent Road, Dockhead, and Peckham all pitched in to tackle the incident.
