Lorry Blaze Shuts M26 Eastbound – Massive Traffic Chaos!

A fierce lorry fire has slammed the M26 eastbound shut between the M25 J5 (Chipstead) and J2A near Wrotham Heath. Emergency crews raced to the scene earlier today, forcing a full closure as they battle to douse the flames and keep motorists safe.

Firefighters Tackle Huge Blaze

Kent Fire and Rescue Service is currently on-site, working tirelessly to put out the blaze. Meanwhile, National Highways traffic officers are busy managing snarled-up traffic. Once the fire’s under control, crews will clear wreckage and check the road for damage before reopening.

Follow These Diversions Now

  1. Stay on the M25 anticlockwise from J5 for 7 miles to J3.
  2. Exit M25 at J3, take the 4th exit onto M20 eastbound towards Dover.
  3. Continue on M20 eastbound for 6 miles to J2.
  4. Exit at J2 and use A20 to reach M26 J2A near Wrotham Heath or continue eastbound to M20 J3.

If you can’t leave the M25 at J5 for A21/A25, continue to J4, exit, then rejoin M25 clockwise for A21/A25 access.
