Lorry Blaze Shuts M26 Eastbound – Massive Traffic Chaos!
A fierce lorry fire has slammed the M26 eastbound shut between the M25 J5 (Chipstead) and J2A near Wrotham Heath. Emergency crews raced to the scene earlier today, forcing a full closure as they battle to douse the flames and keep motorists safe.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service is currently on-site, working tirelessly to put out the blaze. Meanwhile, National Highways traffic officers are busy managing snarled-up traffic. Once the fire’s under control, crews will clear wreckage and check the road for damage before reopening.
Follow These Diversions Now
- Stay on the M25 anticlockwise from J5 for 7 miles to J3.
- Exit M25 at J3, take the 4th exit onto M20 eastbound towards Dover.
- Continue on M20 eastbound for 6 miles to J2.
- Exit at J2 and use A20 to reach M26 J2A near Wrotham Heath or continue eastbound to M20 J3.
If you can’t leave the M25 at J5 for A21/A25, continue to J4, exit, then rejoin M25 clockwise for A21/A25 access.
