Blaze Erupts at Croydon Flats: Eight Fire Engines Rush to Scene

A fierce fire broke out late Friday night at a block of flats on London Road, Croydon. London Fire Brigade sprung into action just after 10:30 pm, deploying eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters to tackle the flames.

Massive Emergency Response Underway

The Brigade confirmed their swift arrival, bringing with them specialised kit including three command units and a 32-metre aerial ladder platform. The high-powered response highlights the serious nature of the blaze engulfing part of the seven-storey building.

Emergency crews quickly set up road closures around London Road to keep the chaos contained. A large number of fire trucks and support vehicles filled the area as flames consumed half of a three-room flat on the third floor.
