Massive Hunt Underway for Missing Man and Dog in Maidstone

A major search operation is in full swing after a man in his 50s vanished with his dog near Maidstone. Kent Police, a force helicopter, and volunteers from Kent Lowland Search and Rescue are all on the case.

Disappearance Sparks Overnight Search

The alarm was raised early Saturday morning when the man failed to return home. He was last seen around 10pm Friday near Maidstone Hospital, where he often walks his golden retriever along footpaths by the nearby quarry.

Helicopter and Volunteers Hunting Through Darkness

A Redhill-based national air support helicopter joined the hunt, scanning Maidstone Hospital grounds, Barming, and Mote Park. Using thermal imaging cameras, the crew searched under cover of night to pick up any heat signatures.

Meanwhile, trained volunteers on mountain bikes combed nearby wooded areas, focusing on the man’s last known location.

Community on Edge as Police Probe Continues

Residents are urged to keep an eye out for the missing man and his golden retriever. Kent Police have been approached for further details as the search intensifies.
