Major Hunt Underway for Missing Man and Dog in Maidstone

A huge search operation was launched in Maidstone early Saturday morning after a man in his 50s vanished with his dog.

Police, Helicopter & Volunteers Join Forces

Kent Police teamed up with a national air support helicopter from Redhill and volunteers from Kent Lowlands Search and Rescue. The helicopter used thermal imaging to scan Maidstone Hospital, Barming, and Mote Park in the dead of night.

Volunteers Hit the Woods on Mountain Bikes

Trained Lowland volunteers scoured nearby wooded areas, using mountain bikes to cover ground near the man’s last known location. The missing local is believed to have gone missing around 10pm Friday. He normally walks the footpaths behind the quarry near Maidstone Hospital.

Police Appeal for Information

Kent Police have been approached for further details as the search intensifies. The man was last seen with his beloved golden retriever.
