Teen Girl Stabbed to Death in Camberwell – Man Charged with Manslaughter
A 21-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter after a teenage girl was fatally stabbed in a Camberwell home. Oluwaseyi Dada, from Brisbane Street, SE5, was charged on Friday, 13 July, following the horror attack.
He is due to appear at South London Magistrates’ Court today (14 July) as police probe the shocking incident.
Stabbing at Brisbane Street
Emergency services were called just after noon on Thursday, 12 July, to a property on Brisbane Street following reports of a stabbing. Both London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance rushed to the scene but were unable to save the 17-year-old victim, who was pronounced dead shortly after 1pm.
Her next of kin have been informed, and a post-mortem examination is scheduled for today as formal identification is yet to be confirmed.
Man Arrested at Scene
The suspect, who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder, is believed to have known the victim. Police also recovered a weapon linked to the stabbing.
The Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command, alongside Southwark officers, are treating the case as a major investigation. A crime scene remains in place at the address.
