Three Children Vanish from Thorpe Park
Three children who disappeared from Thorpe Park in Chertsey yesterday afternoon have been found safe and well in London, police confirmed today.
Khandi, 14, Amelia, 9, and Malik, 7, went missing just after 7 PM on June 17. The trio, all known to each other, were enjoying a planned day out at the Surrey theme park after travelling from Milton Keynes. Amelia and Malik are related.
Last Seen Heading Toward Chertsey Town Centre
The youngsters were last spotted walking away from Thorpe Park towards Chertsey town centre around 3:17 PM. Their disappearance sparked growing alarm as night fell and they remained missing well into the evening.
Police Praise Public for Helping Locate Children
North Surrey Detective Superintendent Trevor Struthers expressed relief at the safe recovery. “We appreciate the concern this incident caused, especially given the ages of the children and the fact they were missing overnight,” he said. “Our officers worked tirelessly to find them, and we are all relieved to have them safe.”
He added, “The public and media provided a huge amount of information and support. We thank everyone who shared our appeal and helped bring this to a positive end.”
