- 53 drivers slapped with traffic offence reports.
- Offences ranged from not wearing seatbelts to dangerous or defective cars, illegal tinted windows, and driving without a valid MOT.

“Every road user has a part to play in keeping everyone safe. We carry out regular vehicle checks throughout the district to remind people of that responsibility,” said Sgt Johnston.
He added, “We thank those who co-operated with us during our weekend operation and all the volunteers who helped run it.”
