Nine hurt in shocking A404 crash near Wycombe High School

Nine people were injured in a terrifying collision on the A404 Marlow Hill, just minutes from Wycombe High School. The crash happened at around 1:38pm today when a vehicle smashed into seven teenage girls walking nearby, also involving two other cars.

Injuries and Emergency Response

  • Six teenage girls suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene – no hospital needed.
  • One girl and the drivers of the other two vehicles were taken to hospital as a precaution.
  • Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported.

The A404 was shut for hours while emergency crews worked and an investigation got underway but has now reopened.

Police and School Statement

Thames Valley Police confirmed the incident is not terror-related. They are urgently asking for witnesses to ring 101 with reference number 1029 of 3 April.

Wycombe High School took to Facebook to calm parents:

“Following a road traffic incident on the A404 this afternoon, Thames Valley Police confirmed six of the seven children had minor injuries treated on scene. One child was taken to hospital as a precaution.”

The school thanked emergency services for their quick response and stressed that none of the injuries are serious.

Eyewitness Shock and Community Reaction

Locals watched in horror as emergency vehicles swarmed Marlow Hill. Local resident Sarah Thompson said:

“It was terrifying to see so many emergency vehicles on Marlow Hill. I really hope the girls are okay.”

Social media flooded with well-wishes for the injured, with one Twitter user tweeting:

“Scary situation near Wycombe High School today. Glad to hear everyone’s okay. Sending thoughts to those involved.”
