Police Hunt Man in Red Top Over Canal Street Brawl

Nottinghamshire Police have released a photo of a man in a red top after a violent fight broke out in Nottingham city centre’s Canal Street. The brawl erupted between 7pm and 7.30pm on Saturday 20 August, following the Notts County vs Chesterfield match.

Brawl Erupts After Football Match

A group of men and teenagers clashed on the street, sparking a police investigation. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported. Some arrests have already been made, but officers want to know exactly what sparked the chaos.

Police Plea for Public’s Help

“We’re asking for the public’s help to try and identify the man in these images,” said Sergeant Steve Willetts of Nottinghamshire Police. “We believe he may have vital information that could help with our ongoing investigation into the fight.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has mobile footage is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 231 of 20 August 2022. Alternatively, tip-offs can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
