Just after 9.25am on Tuesday, 8 November, a 12-year-old boy was waiting for a bus on Windermere Avenue, outside Millbrook Towers. Suddenly, a man snuck up behind him and grabbed his arm, ordering, “Come with me.”
Brave Boy Fights Back and Escapes
Thinking fast, the boy punched the man in the ribs. The attacker loosened his grip, allowing the boy to bolt down 1 Lane. The man gave chase twice but couldn’t catch him. The boy finally got away around 9.30am.
Police Hunt Dark-Coated Stranger
The man is described as:
- In his 30s
- 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall
- White, large build
- Short, dark brown hair
- Scar or mark on his left cheek
- Wearing a dark blue, waist-length raincoat
